Bespoke Garden Rooms · London
We design and build bespoke garden rooms across London — crafted to fit your space and built with the kind of care and craftsmanship that makes them truly last.
What we do
All of our garden rooms are handcrafted from scratch, designed and built entirely around your exact requirements and specifications.
You'll be involved at every stage — from the initial design through to the final finish — so the end result is a space you're truly proud of.
Because every cabin is bespoke, we can offer solutions many competitors can't. We build in awkward, irregular, and uneven spaces, making the most of whatever your garden has to offer.
Our Builds
Each build is bespoke — different space, different use, different aesthetic. Here's how two of our recent cabins came together, from first design to final finish.
Every cabin begins with a detailed 3D model tailored precisely to the client's garden and requirements. We refine the design together until it's exactly right — so there are no surprises when we break ground. Here, the brief was warm cedar cladding with anthracite grey glazing and a clean flat roof profile.
Construction begins with a precision timber frame built from high-grade structural timber. The frame is the foundation of everything — engineered for longevity and built level and square before a single board of cladding goes on.
With the roof on and the building wrapped in high-performance breather membrane, the cabin becomes fully weathertight. Cedar cladding is then fitted board by board — the quality of this workmanship is what gives the finished cabin its character and longevity.
The interior is plastered, floored with luxury herringbone vinyl, and fully wired to a high residential standard. Anthracite bifold doors and full-height glazing flood the space with light. The finished result matches the original 3D design almost exactly.
This client wanted something bold and contemporary — a full-width sliding door, black Thermowood cladding and a compact 3.7m × 4.1m footprint that would make the most of a long, narrow London garden. The 3D model allowed us to resolve the tight space and confirm the exact door and window positions before work began.
The base is built on adjustable pad foundations — no concrete required, minimal disruption to the garden. A treated timber ground frame is levelled precisely before the structural floor is laid on top, giving a solid, insulated base that will last decades.
The structural timber frame goes up quickly once the base is level. The precision of the joinery at this stage is what determines the quality of everything that follows — every corner is square, every post is plumb.
The building is made weathertight with a rubber flat roof membrane and high-performance breather wrap on the walls. The full-width opening for the sliding door system is carefully formed before the Thermowood cladding boards are fitted. Thermowood is thermally modified timber — more durable, dimensionally stable, and naturally resistant to moisture than standard timber, making it an excellent choice for a long-lasting garden building.
Inside, the finish is clean and considered — plastered walls, polished concrete-effect flooring, acoustic slat wall panelling, and full electrics with recessed lighting throughout. The full-width sliding door makes the space feel twice its size when open to the garden.
This 5m × 3.5m build was designed around a dual-purpose brief — a generous main room with a separate integrated storage unit to one side, all clad in composite wood-effect cladding for a low-maintenance, high-impact finish. The 3D model and floor plan allowed the client to see exactly how the layout and proportions would work before we started on site.
The exterior is clad in composite wood-effect boards — engineered to look like natural timber but requiring virtually no maintenance. No painting, no oiling, no warping. The anthracite standing seam metal cladding on the side elevation adds an industrial contrast, while the composite decking with inset deck lights creates a seamless transition from cabin to garden.
Inside, the brief was light and airy — sage green plastered walls, wide-plank luxury vinyl flooring, and a full-width sliding door system. The standout feature is the large central roof lantern, which floods the space with natural light throughout the day and transforms into a dramatic ceiling feature at night when the downlights come on.
The night shots tell the full story — recessed soffit lighting under the canopy, inset deck lights across the composite decking, bifold doors opening to the full width of the cabin, and the warm glow of the interior through full-height glazing. A build that looks as good at 9pm as it does at 9am.
A compact 4.4m × 3m cabin clad in British Western red cedar — one of the finest natural cladding timbers available — with black aluminium French doors and full-height windows. The brief was a warm, natural aesthetic that would sit beautifully in an established London garden and age gracefully over time. Western red cedar develops a distinctive silver-grey patina as it weathers, which many clients consider part of the appeal.
The structural frame goes up on a levelled pad-founded base. Early-stage photos show the back wall panel erected and the floor deck in place — the clean geometry at this stage reflects the precision that carries through into the finished build. The open roof structure visible here shows the depth of the insulated roof build-up before the membrane goes on.
Once the roof membrane is laid and the walls are wrapped in breather membrane, the cabin is fully weathertight. The Western red cedar cladding is then fitted vertically — its natural oils give it inherent resistance to moisture and decay, making it one of the most durable and beautiful timber cladding choices for an outdoor building in the UK climate.
The completed cabin, with its full-height glazed doors and twin windows framed in black aluminium against the warm cedar cladding. A neat gravel border finishes the base of the building, keeping splash-back off the timber and giving a clean, low-maintenance edge between cabin and lawn.
About us
I've been designing and building bespoke garden rooms for over three years, and every single one has been built to the same standard I'd expect if it were going in my own garden.
I started the business because I believed there was a better way — taking the time to understand exactly what a customer needs, building from scratch with quality materials, and being hands-on throughout the entire process. No cutting corners, no compromises.
Every project starts as a detailed 3D model. Before a single piece of timber is cut, you'll see exactly what your garden room will look like from every angle. We refine the design together until it's exactly right.
Every project is then personally managed from that initial design right through to the final finish. You'll always be speaking to the person actually building your cabin.
